Ex-husband passed away... help
I found out through my divorce solicitor that my ex-husband has passed away. I'd known him 12 years, married for 6 years and officially together for 4 years. I am beside myself with grief.Group Therapy: Should I Apologize?
My mother-in-law's puppy is being put down today; he's had a heart defect since birth, and against everybody's advice to put him to sleep when he was little, we decided to keep him alive as long as he was doing well and could still run around. He's had a wonderful, happy life for the past 15 months, but with the Summer heat, he's been having more and more trouble moving around, and for the past few days he cannot get up at all. His heart can't keep up anymore, so it's obvious it's time to let him go — he's suffering now.
Group Therapy: Is It Just Stress?
My boyfriend of three years has been acting strange the last few days. His grandmother, who lived at his house for the last several years, passed away on what would have been his father's 50th birthday (who also passed away three years ago.) Last night, he ignored my phone calls, and finally, at midnight, answered. He was both very drunk and incredibly rude.
Group Therapy: How Do I Support My Grieving Friend?
Just recently a good friend of mine confided in me that her mom's cancer, which they have known about for a while, had gotten worse and the doctors couldn't do any more to help her. They didn't know how long she had, but it wasn't very long. A little while ago I got a text from a mutual friend letting me know our friend's mom had passed away.

I just found out an ex-boyfriend of mine died a few weeks ago, and I've been crying for about four days even though I hadn't seen him in over 20 years. When I found out he had died, I literally couldn't breathe. He's the one man I never really got over.

Just curious to know your thoughts as to how long you think it is appropriate to take off work in order to grieve an immediate family member's death.

Coping With Grief
Someone very close to my boyfriend's mum just passed away suddenly last night and she is devastated. We're very close and though my boyfriend originally thought it would be a good idea to just keep those surrounding her this weekend excluded to family, but he's now said that she really wants to see me as well. I'd love nothing more to go over and visit tomorrow, but I'm afraid I don't know how to act around people who are grieving ...Top Brands
