In order to save myself a little money, I wanted to try using one of those self-waxing kits. Do any of you use one that works well? I am planning on using it for my underarms, if that matters.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I tried the wax thing and I got BURNED really bad... so whatever you do BECAREFUL!!!
1The only place I wax is my underarms and I used the premade strips for legs or the larger ones. Those are the ones where you can rub them inbetween your hands, rip apart, place in area and just let 'er rip. I usually do one where you rip upwards and then again on the same area but ripping downwards - the hairs seem to grow all the ways!
I have used the heat up ones and I hate them because you can never get the right temperature and everything else is just a sticky mess. My favorite strips are by Parisa I think? It's been a while since I went and purchased some.... not that I have hairy underarms or anything, I did laser!
2I went to a waxer one time to get my legs and underarms waxed. I grew them both out for about a month, and I have thick hair. Well, my legs were good but getting my underarms waxed was much more painful than even having a brazilian. Seriously the most painful thing. The waxer said that I did not grow the hair out long enough, but I did not agree. Currently, I wax my legs with Parissa microwave hot wax and it works great. But I would never, ever recommend to someone to wax their own underarms!!!
3When I wax my legs, I take an extra strength ibuprofen about an hour beforehand, and always pull the strip up and against the hair, not outwards. Apply wax in the direction of hair growth and always make sure the wax is hot enough but not too hot so that it burns your skin. Any kind of oil will remove small amounts of wax if you screw up. Good luck but I wouldn't try waxing your armpits or bikini area unless you REALLY know what you are doing, because otherwise it could be very painful or very messy. Owww...
Some people swear by sugaring. It's supposed to be an easy, less painful method. I tried it, it didn't hurt a lot, but it also didn't remove all the hair and left my skin red and irritated.
