This is an odd question, but I don't know where else to find an answer, I tried google. So, about a year when I gained weight the fat on my stomach was hard and it didn't jiggle like fat is supposed to. Also, I would try to do the "pinch an inch" but it was too hard to grab. Today I felt my stomach and it was soft, and I could actually grip the fat. Does anyone know what this could mean?

I don't know!!! If it was hard before maybe you just were bloated a lot, were you on prescribed meds? Like pain pills? That will make your stomach feel full and hard , then when you get off of them, your stomach will be softer. If you are wanting to get rid of you belly fat...if you can deal with it, go on a liquid diet of different flavors like beef, chicken, or veg. broth, chicken noodle soup with fat free lightly salted saltene crackers with as much fruit as you want...small salads and broiled fish or chicken for dinner /try different fruit glazes for flavor....I know that wasn't your question but.....I'm a blabber mouth so....hahaha
1I am the one who wrote the question, I didn't care if it was anonymous or not, I just didn't know where else to post it. No I have not been on any meds. I do have really strong abs so I thought it might be that, but it's the actual fat that was hard and it's really wierd. ive been on a diet for the past week so I think that maybe I'm just starting to lose the weight? my diet has been as many raw fruits and vegetables as I want and this puerto rican rice and beans dish But thanks for answering my question!
2you're welcome!
3It may be your abs, mine are pretty hard too, that's a good thing though!! Maybe the fat melted away and you just got some more muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat too so don't freak out when you get on the scale!!! Cause mine says 125!!! And I'm 5 3 1/2...but muscular and that's what the doc told me. Good luck with your diet, it sounds pretty yummy!!
4I might run this by a doctor.
5I'm with pop, if something seems out of the ordinary, can't hurt to ask an experts opinion.
6It would best to call your health care provider. Many have help lines that you can discuss this with a nurse.
