So its been four months out of my relationship of over three years. i never really dated before. any ideas on how to meet someone -- i dont expect to meet "the one" right away but im not one for one night stands either.... any suggestions would be most welcome.

Post a CommentYou know, I struggle with dating a lot, too. My rule is accept dates from people you may not be initially attracted to.. and go on at least 3 dates. If there isn't anything by then, you should cut it off.
As far as meeting people, I am in the same boat! I try to network through friends (I always tell my friends to bring new people into the group when we hang out), go out as much as possible (because you're never going to meet someone on your couch), and maybe get active with a hobby.. like an intermural sport or an organization (like Habitat for Humanity)..
I haven't had much luck meeting the 'one' yet, but.. I live in a very small town and try to meet new people as often as possible. Good luck!!
If I end up single again, I'll try online dating. I have 3 friends who met their boyfriends through eHarmony, 2 who met their husbands through Match.com, and one who met her live-in through Match.com.
