I don't think of myself as having too unhealthy a lifestyle. I do cardio at the gym 3-4 times a week, weights twice and netball once a week. I have lots of fruit and veges in my life. I drink litres of water a day...
I just have a issue with binging on things. Not that it may even be a binge.
I'll hit the shops after work - I don't need anything, but I'll stop in, buy a bottle of diet coke and a block of chocolate.
Yes, block.
And I eat it. Usually on the way to the gym. Sometimes I haave to hide the evidence, but I normally finish it in the car. Stuff the wrapper in my back and dispose of it in the gym changerooms, and nobody knows.
How do I get msyelf out of this? It's easy to say "Oh I'll just drive past the shop" or "I won't do it any more". But it just doesn't seem to stop.
This sounds really crap, but I guess I want to feel that I'm not alone
I don't purge things much any more, but the ocaisional weekend alone with the laxatives is not unheard of. Maybe I need help. I don't know! I'm better than I used to be!!!

I don't know how much a block is, but it sounds like a lot.
Instead of seeing the chocolate as something forbidden, allow yourself to enjoy it throughout the day. Enjoy a small piece after lunch and/or dinner, and really savor it. Don't stuff it in your mouth in 5 seconds.
Allow yourself other sweets and treats as you crave them. This takes them off the "bad" list and you may be less likely to binge.
If you still feel like you can't control it, get into therapy before it leads to bulemia or anorexia.
1You say it's on your way to the gym, maybe don't bring cash or your cards so you just can't purchase it. You're not going to steal it right? Of course not! So there's not access there!
2Try not to cut yourself off from it completely.
Buy a bar or two and keep it in your purse.
Have little bits throughout the day, instead of lots all at once.
Definitely don't scold yourself when you eat, just control how much you eat.
Try to have just a few bars a day, and slowly cut down.
If you crave, instead of telling yourself "No", tell yourself "wait an hour", and then have a few bites.
3You aren't alone. I have that problem if I have to stop anywhere between the gym and dinner. it's rough.
