OK, so I'm usually very anal about taking my birth control pills everyday at the same time, but over the holiday break I forgot to take them a couple of days (maybe about 2 or 3). I think the main reason for this was that my boyfriend was away visiting his parents so I kind of waived them off. Now I'm kind of freaking out because on Friday night I spent the night and we had sex. It wasn't planned or anything just one of those horny midnight sex craves. Anyway, we had sex and as usual I made him pull out, problem is that I was very wet down there which makes me think that maybe he had a lot of pre-cum (also because I had an orgasm). I feel like the biggest idiot asking this since I'm always giving all the other girls advice about preventing a pregnancy, so ladies tell me. Is it possible for me to have gotten preggers with that?

If you missed a couple/few pills, you should have followed the instructions on the pack that tell you what to do when you miss pills. I think they tell you if you miss three you are supposed to stop taking the pills and wait for your period to come and then start a new pack after that. If you miss two then you take to pills for two days in a row and them resume taking them as you usually do, but your brand might have different instructions.
When all else fails and your feeling paranoid go to Planned Parenthood and get the morning after pill, just to be safe, but youve waited so long that if you are pregnant it might not work for you.
btw- dont get lazy about taking your pills just bc your man is out of town, thats really irresponsible.
1To all the pregnancy posters, to all that were, and all that will be:
Every single time you have sex with someone, you can get pregnant.
I'm making some basic assumptions here:
1) You haven't gone through menopause
2) Your partner doesn't have a vasectomy (although I heard that can happen, too)
These chances increase and decrease based on skipping pills, pulling out or not, using various types of birth control, or not using birth control at all.
So the answer is always yes. Yes, there is a chance that you are pregnant. But don't take our virtual word for it. Go get a test or something better than the opinions of 16-50 year olds who collectively might have amazing medical knowledge, but who probably aren't the right people to consult about important medical issues, like pregnancy.
And yes, I am going to rant every single time we get one of these posts, for those already annoyed by my constant anti-pregnacy-post ranting.
It turns out I can't help it.
2Yes, especially if you missed 2 - 3 pills in the first week of the pack.
3Wait.... checking... oh thats right, im not a dr, and i dont know you, so how could i tell you your pregnant or not? Heres some advise to all the idiot girls that dont know how to use birth control, or have safe sex. DONT. just dont. if you ask these questions on a website, your not ready to have sex...
