I, like most of the country, am trying to lose weight. I know that the best way to lose weight and to keep it off is to work out on a regular basis and to eat a healthy diet. However, sometimes, as we all know, this takes a while!!
Do any of you have any tips that you use to get the pounds off quicker??

Nope. Slow and steady wins the race.
If you goof, don't wait till Monday start your "diet." Don't even call it a diet, and get back on track the very next meal.
Weigh yourself every day and chart it. This way you get to know the way your body naturally fluctuates with your cycles, water, etc. and you'll be able to more accurately gauge weight loss.
1Here's one thing you can do that is pretty easy and doesn't feel like the end of the world (I lost 20 pounds last year doing this):
Walk one hour a day, every day. If you do other exercise, great! but even if you do other exercise, also walk one hour a day every day.
And, if you can cut out a few extras (like desserts, chips, fries or fast foods) on your eating, great! that will speed things up. But even if you don't, walk one hour a day every day.
Then, if you can switch from coffee to green tea, that will also speed things up. But even if you can't always do that, still walk one hour a day every day.
Get 8 hours of sleep a night. But if you can't, still walk one hour a day every day.
See what I'm getting at? Even if you aren't perfect in other areas of your life, make just ONE solid rule which is to walk one hour a day every day.
As for the other stuff, just try. But as for the walking, just DO.
